All Things Italiane

PC Utilization for Genealogists

We Genealogists, at times, are amazing! We may not be able to speak Italian, French, Spanish - not to mention the many dialects, YET we are able to thoroughly digest the contents of a birth record written in script from hundreds of years ago! I recently taught a seminar at the LDS Center in Essex Maryland. One comment I heard over and over again was that there is so much information out there, however, it is in different formats, one site leads you to another which eventually leads you back to the site you started at, etc - the quote from one gentleman was "my head is going to explode!" It is my hope that through presenting a variety of notes on my research that your life will be easier when researching your Family Tree. Search Engines, Browsers, Address Bar Modifications, Quick Tips, Using Advanced Operators, Databases, Macros and Queries are some of the subjects. Since it is just me doing the website,  the updates will come slowly. Look for updates within each category every month or two. I hope you find a gem  that will ease the pain when doing Genealogy Research. I have obviously focused on Genealogy, but don't forget to apply the same ideas in all your other research.
